03 / Developer tools & hiring
Findy
Counting work is easy. Understanding what helped the team is harder.

Two sides of the developer market
Findy operates engineering recruitment and freelance matching services alongside Findy Team+, its software development analytics product. The broader product family also includes developer tools reviews and conferences.
Inside Team+
Team+ connects tools such as GitHub, GitLab and Jira. It brings development activity into a shared view so teams can examine delivery, project investment and where work gets stuck. Findy also describes using these insights to assess how AI tools change development work.
How I would read the numbers
A developer can write less code and make the system much better. Another can produce plenty of code that someone else has to fix. I would be careful about treating activity as value.
The useful question is where the team is waiting. Review queues, handovers and repeated rework tell a more practical story. becomes useful when the team can act on it, with context about task difficulty and quality.
For an AI rollout, I would compare similar work before and after adoption. Did delivery improve without more defects? A percentage improvement needs a clear starting point and a consistent definition. It should help a team learn, rather than turn into a leaderboard of individual engineers.
The business model and moat
Recruitment and team software solve different problems. Hiring demand can come in waves. A tool used to run an existing team can remain useful between hiring cycles. I like that combination, provided each product earns its own place.
The possible moat is a trusted developer community combined with useful workflows for employers. Neither side appears overnight. For Team+, the harder-to-copy part would be the quality of its interpretation and the habits teams build around it. A chart of commits is easy to recreate. Good judgment about those commits is more valuable.
My take
I would want Findy to help managers ask better questions. The product becomes stronger when a team can point to a bottleneck it removed. That is a clear reason to keep using it, even as the tools used to write code change.
Public financing
