Limy
Being mentioned by AI is useful. Understanding what it leads to is the harder question.

What Limy measures
Limy’s bot-traffic product shows how AI crawlers interact with a website, including which pages they visit. This gives a company a view of how its content is being accessed by AI systems.
Connecting visibility to outcomes
Its attribution product aims to connect AI discovery with website activity and conversions. Limy describes tracing the journey from prompts and recommendations to business outcomes. That is the product’s stated goal; it does not mean every AI-assisted purchase can be observed completely.
The measurement test
I would separate three events. A bot reads a page. An AI answer mentions a brand. A person buys something. They may be connected, but one does not prove the next.
For , I would inspect what the system directly observes and what it estimates. Missing referrals, private conversations and users returning on another device can break the trail. Clear gaps are more useful than false precision.
I would also compare a changed set of pages with a similar unchanged set. That helps test whether the intervention made a difference, rather than taking credit for a wider increase in demand. Percentages need a stable set of prompts and a consistent measurement window.
The business model and moat
The buyer needs to decide where to spend time and marketing money as discovery changes. I see more lasting value in reliable measurement and a useful next action than in a score that simply goes up.
The possible moat is the quality of the observation layer: bot identification, historical comparisons, integrations and methods that keep working as AI products change. Recommendations could improve as those measurements become more dependable.
That creates a maintenance challenge too. If an AI provider changes how it retrieves content, the product needs to adapt without making yesterday’s score impossible to compare with today’s.
My take
I like the move towards explaining outcomes. The stronger business would help a customer make a better decision, then show the limits of the evidence behind it. Honest measurement can build trust in a category where it is very easy to overclaim.
Public financing
