WIZ.AI
A good voice agent has to survive an actual phone call.

What the product does
WIZ.AI builds voice agents for customer service and outreach. Its language engine combines speech recognition and speech generation, with support for local accents and switching languages during a call. The company presents voice, deployment controls and business workflows as one system.
The hard part is the conversation
A caller interrupts. Changes language. Gives half an answer. The agent still needs to understand what happened and choose the right next step. That is the technical test I care about.
I would break the call into listening, deciding and speaking. Slow performance in any one stage makes the whole conversation awkward. Then I would test a failed payment lookup or an unavailable booking system. Can the agent recover, avoid repeating an action and hand over to a person with the right context?
Speech accuracy matters. So does knowing when to stop talking. I would measure completed tasks and appropriate handovers alongside , rather than treating a natural-sounding voice as the finish line.
Where the business gets interesting
The commercial case is the cost of resolving a customer’s problem. Cheap calls are less useful if customers call again because nothing was fixed. A good evaluation would include repeat calls, human follow-up and customer satisfaction.
The potential moat sits in language coverage, call handling and reliable connections to business systems. Those pieces have to work together. A great speech model still needs to retrieve the right account and apply the right rule.
I would also separate recurring software use from the effort needed to set up each new workflow. Reusable integrations and testing tools could make expansion easier. Bespoke call flows would require more ongoing attention.
My take
I like products whose value can be heard in a real interaction. For WIZ.AI, the next layer of defensibility is owning a complete, dependable customer journey. I would look for a calm handover when the agent reaches its limits. That can build more trust than an agent that insists on answering everything.
